“Zap Pow” was founded in 1973 including Dwight Pinkney, Max Edwards, David Madden, Mike Williams, Joe Mc Cormack and Glen DaCosta. Beres Hammond joined the band in 1975. In 1977 Max Edwards left and Cornell Marshall formerly from Third World enterd the band as the drummer. They released four albums between 1973 and 1978: Revolutionary (1973) , Revolution (1976) , Now (1976), Zap Pow (1978). In 1980 “Reggae Rules” collects 7-inches of 1973 – 1980.
“Jah Devon” is not a pseudonym of Dean Fraser but appeared at his first singles because of a labelling mistake.
Caleb Sweetback is now known as King Caleb. His band was later known as Front Line Rockers, now as Rasta Generation Band. Black Spade is his own label. “Darling You” and Zion” were his first and self produced 7-inches. His first of now eight albums was released in 1987.
