TAITT, LYNN
Artist info: Nerlynn Taitt later known as Lynn Taitt was born June 22nd 1934 in Trinidad. A booking by Byron Lee led him to Jamaica in 1962 where he stayed until 1968 to leave to Canada. He was one of the most famous Jamaican guitarist. he played with the Skatalites and the Supersonics. His most famous band is The Jets featuring Hux Brown, Headley Bennett, Winston Wright, Gladstone Anderson and Hopeton Lewis. Some members backed The Wailers at their 1967-1968 recordings like “Hypocrite”, “Mellow Mood” and many more. He died on January 20th 2010 in Montreal, Canada.

Artist Info: Vocal trio. The Tamlins are: Junior Moore, Derrick Lara and Carlton Smith. They are maybe best known for backing Peter Tosh during his live tour in 1982. In 1976 they released the album “Black Beauty” on State Records ETAT 9, a second album “Love Divine” was released 1989 on Heartbeat HB 44.

Artist Info: Jamaican singer. His first 7-inch “Bad Man Come And Goes”was released in 1975. During 1979 and 1980 he released two albums. After a nine years break he came back to recording in 1989 to continue in 1990 and 1993. After another break of six years since 1999 he continually releases new albums until now.

TECHNIQUES
Artist Info: Vocal group. In 1962 the forming member of The Techniques are Winston Riley, Slim Smith, Franklyn White and Frederick Waite. Their first recording “No One” was released only in UK in 1963.
Winston Riley born 1946 started his Techniques label in 1969 to produce the hits “Double Barrel” and “Monkey Spanner” by Dave Barker and Ansel Collins in 1970.
When Slim Smith left the band 1968 to form The Uniques that he led until his death in 1973, The Techniques continued with changing members including Pat Kelly and Jackie Parris, Bruce Ruffin, Jimmy Riley, Dave Barker, Tyrone Evans, & Morvin Brooks. In the late 1960s an album “Little Did You Know” was released on Treasure Isle. In 1969 they disbanded to shortly reunite in 1982 for a new album.
