Fancy Curls
“Fancy Curls” is an unrecorded song of Bob Marley. Bunny Wailer tells about hearing Bob singing this tune as a child when first he heard him singing. They met, when Bob Marley was 8 or 9 years. At this age Bob said, I am a singer now. So this may be around 1954/1955. Bunny Wailer remembers that Bob Marley won a pound when he sang this track at his first public performance. Stephen Davis in his book Bob Marley – Conquering Lion Of Reggae writes, that this performance took place at Queen´s Theatre in 1959.

RUB-A-DUB ALBUM
“Rub-A-Dub” is the last album of Bunny Wailer I have bought and I will not buy any further. This is the worst album of a member of the Wailers I listened. It wasn´t worth the investment. If you consider if to buy it or not, I suggest don´t buy it.
The album has Bunny Wailer on vocals and percussion and all music is digital programmed by Danny (Gumption) Thompson. This album has no reggae groove, it is sterile.
The album sleeve is two paged and looks like designed in a half hour after a long working day. Typically “Jamaican” is mentions in mistake “C P 1980 Solomonic Music”.
The “message” that Bunny Wailer found to be that important to release this album for is simple. Dance hall music is originally meant for a macho man to meet a pure girl, make her hot by dancing and rubbing his penis along her lower parts to continue to “take” her, make her a babymother and marry her. To betray her at the next dance with the next girl. Thats what Jah made dance hall music for. Music for macho man who are so stupid that the only thing they can do is fucking young girls and making her pregnant to leave them in despair. If you think you belong to such people, this is your album. Enjoy.
So bad that I listened Bunny Wailer´s live show in Jamaica at 13th January 2001 where he stopped the show to tell that same sex dance partners are the most evil thing in the world. At the sleeve of “Rub-A-Dub” he tells that something is wrong on the dance floors and in fact again he is dealing here with same sex couples. Hypocritically he dont speak this in words, but all Jamaican will understand it. It is nothing as a new attack against same sex partners. But what Jamaican men do with Jamaican girls is ok in his mind. Usually it says if a man gets older he would get wiser. No rule without exception. In my reggae compendium you now see 399 other artists. I suggest you better check those artists music.
Intro
First CD release: Solomonic / Tuff Gong, 2007, CD (0,21)
Man And Woman
First CD release: Solomonic / Tuff Gong, 2007, CD (3,24)
Rub A Dub With Me
A boring digital remake of “Feel Alright” of 1969.
First CD release: Solomonic / Tuff Gong, 2007, CD (5,27)
Rub A Dub Time (Baddes)
A stupid remake of “The Toughest”, the Peter Tosh song. Bunny Wailer sings “We a de baddes”. I do confirm to this statement.
First CD release: Solomonic / Tuff Gong, 2007, CD (5,32)
Empress
Tell a little girl she is an empress, and you will easily get her in your bed. That info I needed to hear.
First CD release: Solomonic / Tuff Gong, 2007, CD (3,29)
Ten To One
Another song with the same riddim as “Empress”. Why write a new melody when you can use the “copy-function” of your computer?
First CD release: Solomonic / Tuff Gong, 2007, CD (5,37)
Love I Can Feel
The worst cover of the old John Holt track of 1974 I did listen until today. Hopefully John Holt never has to listen to this one.
First CD release: Solomonic / Tuff Gong, 2007, CD (5,33)
Come Party
Meaningless party song. After the first minute it is boring to listen the same digital bites repeated over and again. Take care not to fall into sleep while listening.
First CD release: Solomonic / Tuff Gong, 2007, CD (5,12)
Dancing Shoes
A new sterile version of the old Studio One track. Consider a man without soul singing about love and you can suggest how cold this sound is.
First CD release: Solomonic / Tuff Gong, 2007, CD (5,20)
By The Beach
This track is made on the “Ram Dance” riddim. “Not another version, Ooh, please make it a session not another version.” Bob sings in “Mix Up Mix Up”.
First CD release: Solomonic / Tuff Gong, 2007, CD (5,08)
Rub Dub (Stir It Up)
This track is made on the melody of “Stir It Up”. If nothing helps, put a Bob Marley track on your CD and it will sell. Poor.
First CD release: Solomonic / Tuff Gong, 2007, CD (5,40)
High Grade Man
A remake of his “Collie Man” of 1982. I don´t have the track “High Grade” from the 2005 various artists compilation mentioned above, but I would think this is the same track.
First CD release: Solomonic / Tuff Gong, 2007, CD (6,16)
Pack Up Yo Trouble
Here the dream of Bunny Wailer reveals. Not even he wants to convince a girl. He wants her to come to him and make him happy. A shy 10-year old guy might like this dream.
First CD release: Solomonic / Tuff Gong, 2007, CD (4,18)
Duppy Gun
Released on 7-inch: Tuff Gong, a-side: Duppy Gun / b-side: Where Were You
I don´t have this song.
Where Were You
Released on 7-inch: Tuff Gong, a-side: Duppy Gun / b-side: Where Were You

I Gotta Keep On Moving
First CD release: People Get Ready – Tribute To Curtis Mayfield, Shanachie, CD (3,53)
Second CD release: Tribute, CD (bonus track)
