CHAPTER 6:
LEE PERRY PRODUCTIONS
1971: SOUL REVOLUTION II ALBUM
Recorded at Randys & Dynamics.
The longplay album Soul Revolution II was released (Info about the first three by David Katz)
1. Pressing: Jamaica 1971 Label: Soul Revolution, Maroon, Matrix: TTL 65 / LOP TTL 65, regularly sold without sleeve
2. Pressing: Jamaica 1971 Label: Soul Revolution, Upsetter, Matrix: TTL 65 A / TTL 66 A, regularly sold without sleeve, some sold in sleeves of the next pressing. There is another info from a ebay-seller about this or a similar record with these matrixes and another additional deleted matrix „WED+2+A“ from the UK stamper.
3. Pressing: Jamaica 1971 Label: Soul Revolution Part II, Upsetter, Matrix: TTL 65 B / TTL 66 B, sold in turquoise sleeve with coloured pics. I was told by a seller of such a record with these matrixes in fact it would have the dub album.
I like to add that there is also this one I own:
Jamaica 1971 Label: Soul Revolution, Maroon, Matrix: TTL 66 A / TTL 66B (deleted so that it reads: TTL 65 B), some sold in sleeves of the third pressing. As both sidess matrixes are different from the one listed as the first pressing, I have no idea which one may be earlier.
The Maroon release has all tracks in stereo mix.
And there are also:
UK 1971 Trojan TTL 65
USA 1975 Pressure Disk LPS 507
USA Black Heart
USA Reissue with black and white pictures.
