This original can be identified while compared with the alternate and the overdubbed track of 1975 that here the drummer beats on a drum ring sounding as if some echo was used on this beat. The drum work has a bit more melody.

The Vow (Bunny and Rita)

„The Vow“ is originally recorded in 1957 by US Doo Wop duo Gene & Eunice (Forest Gene Wilson and Eunice Levy) and released on USA Aladdin 3374, 1957, 7-inch as b-side of „Strange World“. The song was covered by famous Jamaican duo Jackie & Doreen (Jackie Opel and Doreen Schaefer) in 1959. While Jackie & Doreen´s cover is fast and has horns this recording by Bunny & Rita is much slower and features an organ.
