EEK-A-MOUSE
Artist Info: Unique vocal artist from Jamaica. He introduced himself at the 1982 Reggae Sunsplash: “I don´t dj, dj talk, I man don´t toast yunno, …, some sing la la, some sing yeah yeah, I sing menmenamingdongmenamongding”. He started his recording career with a big bag of songs in his pocket what led to four studio album releases plus one half album of live tracks in 1982 and 1983. Although he is a large man his voice was high like a Mickey Mouse voice what led to his nickname “Mouse” or “Eek A Mouse”. In 1983 he made a song of the story called “How I Got My Name”. Later he immigrated to USA but seemingly had a hard time with this, what led to a couple tracks about violence and isolation. Also his style changed to a more US American way of reggae including rap influences. He is still actively touring, basically in USA.

(aka “Buble Up Yu Hip”), Na Make Mi Girl Go Away (aka “My Girl”), Fat And Slim (aka “Every Girl Is A Virgin”), Where Is My Baby

This is the UK Issue of the Jamaican album “Buble Up Yu Hip”. It has one extra track: “Sensee Party”. And the mix is slower as the Jamaican album. What in my mind is no upgrade in sound, in contrary the original Jamaican mix sounds far better.
