Note: In 2006 a couple of 7-inches appeared in Jamaica using the „Hooligan“ riddim, but these are using the riddim not of The Wailers track, but of a completely different track. To my knowledge it was first recorded by Dennis Brown for Studio One. A dub appears at Aston Barrett´s Dub Obsession album.
Note: „Hooligans“ and „Hooligans Ska“ are alternate takes of the same song. Here Bob sings „ground“ instead of „place“ at the end of one verse and the solo is longer.

And I Love Her

Written by Paul McCartney and John Lennon.
Lead vocals by Bob Marley.
Harmonies by Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer.
Backing by The Soul Brothers.
Guitar by Lynn Taitt.
Jamaican 7-inch release: Coxsone (silver writing on black label) 1965, a-side: And I Love Her (Credit: The Wailers) (Matrix: Federal FC 6677) (3,08) / b-side: Do It Right (Credit: The Wailers) (Matrix: Federal FC 6680) (2,48) (Informations about this single confirmed from Raul´s 7-inch.)
UK 7-inch release: Ska Beat JB 230, 1966, a-side: And I Love Her / b-side: Do It Right
The vocals of this original take are very close to the original recording of The Beatles. Bob Marley sings here „And I Love Her“ while he sings „Cause I love her“ at the alternate take. He adds a last verse that is not part of the Beatles´ recording. This last verse is far more animated here as at the altenate take: „I love her from all my soul. That´s everything I want her to know.“ Then comes a line hard to understand exactly sounding similar to this: „Their vow of love she may got, make her happy find the amount I should.“ „I love her. I love her so.“
Never released on CD.

And I Love Her (Alternate Take)

Written by Paul McCartney and John Lennon in 1964.
Lead vocals by Bob Marley.
Harmonies by Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer.
Backing by The Soul Brothers.
Guitar by Lynn Taitt.
Previously unreleased. This track was found on studio tape after Bob Marley´s death.
At this alternate take Bob Marley sings „Cause I love her“ instead of „And I Love Her“. In fact the title don´t appear anymore at the vocals. So in fact it would make sense to change the title of this take to „Cause I love her“. Bob Marley sings here „This love of mine will never die“ instead of „This love of mine could never die“ at the original. He adds to the Beatles´ vocals a last verse, different to the last verse at the original Wailers´ recording: „I love her. This love of mine will never die. I just want her to know that I love her.“
USA CD release: One Love at Studio One, Heartbeat HB 111 / 112, 1991 (3,06) The sleeve mentions the take to be different from the UK / USA singles, in fact it has to have different from the JA / UK singles.
USA CD release: Wailing Wailers At Studio One, Heartbeat HB 172, 1994 (3,06)
USA Longplay release: Greatest Hits At Studio One, Heartbeat HB 257, 2003 (3,06)

Also featuring the line: „Ska Quadrille, Ska quadrille“. The quadrille was a dance music that was a forerunner of mento.
Jamaican 7-inch release: Coxsone 509, 1965, a-side: Rude Boy / b-side: Ringo´s Theme (Roland Al & The Soul Brothers) („Ringo´s Theme“ is sometimes called „This Boy“. If „Pine Juice“, also appearing at a Coxsone 7-inch b-side is another title for the track is unsure. Maybe the 7-inch with that song as b-side is the original release of „Rude Boy“.)
